Plan a day at the Monkey Mia, Shark Bay World Heritage area
Get an early start...
with a delicious breakfast at the Resort's open
air cafe from 7:30 am.
Stroll down to the beach...
and await the arrival of the
beautiful wild dolphins. They are wild animals and are not trained to
come in for their morning snacks; however, they rarely disappoint.
Interact...
with the dolphins as they frolic in the shallows.
Watch...
as the pelicans gather on the beach for their snack - it's quite a sight! Take a
cruise...
aboard the Blue Lagoon Pearl,
across the pristine blue
waters, past the stunning red cliff, to the Sea Lab 1 pontoon,
anchored in Redcliff Bay, an area abundant with marine life including
dugongs, turtles, rays and sharks.
Be thoroughly entertained...
and educated by the enthusiastic, dedicated Blue
Lagoon staff as they tell you about the history of pearling in Shark
Bay, the processes involved in creating our exquisite gems and other
facets of this delicate industry.
 Be tempted...
by our exclusive range of Albina Pearl Souvenirs (ideal for
school projects or as inexpensive mementos of your visit), and our
magnificent coloured pearl jewellery produced by the Pinctada
Margaritifera (Black Lip Oyster).
A unique tour of approximately 1½ hours. Return to The Resort...
for a cappuccino, snack or lunch. We suggest an afternoon cruise on one
of the two catamarans moored at the jetty, or you may enjoy a
swim, canoeing or a tandem paddle boat ride. Power Dive runs diving
expeditions from Monkey Mia. There's something for everyone!
After all this ...
After all this you could take a siesta before an evening meal at the
Resort or the nearby town of Denham, just a short 25 minute drive
away. Spend Another Day...
We recommend a trip to Shell Beach, the Eagle Bluff Lookout, and of course,
FISHING.
As a World Heritage listed area,
there is much of interest to see and do in Monkey Mia and Shark Bay. You
can visit Ocean Park to see sharks being fed, take a 4WD trip to Point
Peron or Steep Point, or even try a sunset camel ride on the Denham
